HAND MADE, ONE-OF-A-KIND LAMPS

Art Under $100, Seattle Design Center, November 2019

  • I make each of my lamps from scratch, using a variety of papers from countries such as Nepal, Thailand, Japan and India. One of my favorites is Nepalese Lokta, an eco-friendly paper in gorgeous jewel tones. The cultivation of this “tree free” paper is an eco-friendly resource and a reliable revenue stream for the village artisans of Nepal’s rural and urban areas.

  • My frames are built from various sizes of oak doweling which gives the lamp strength. Other hardwoods may be requested at additional cost.

  • Table and accent lamps range from about 12” high to approximately 30”. Floor lamps vary in height and width.

  • Individual electrical components - socket, wire, switch and plug - are UL approved. Larger lamps use a standard Edison or E26 base. Smaller lamps use E12 candelabra sockets, which can be used with bulbs from a 4w nightlight bulb up to a 40w candelabra bulb.

  • Prices vary, based on size and design.

  • If you visit my Etsy store and can’t find the lamp that you have been imagining, please visit the CONTACT page. I love working with clients to create custom pieces.
